Nathan Whiting has performed contemporary dance and Butoh in New York and Japan; competed in races longer than 100 miles; and heard and conversed with serious composers who have left behind the postmodernism. Before inventing the method of writing demonstrated above he published books of ordinary poetry.

He writes: "Tired of traditional, 20th century postmodernism with its anti-art cynicism, I found a less linear, more visual and spacial approach using new logical methods which have emerged over the last decade. I call it The Equaternal."
