Kit Kennedy
MINIMALIST EPIC: #101 Waiting for tea to boil, she contemplates
the structure of classic Chinese poetry
how the feral is always minimal
how inside the inside, more of
the reason we never met
BECAUSE THERE WERE FIGS (GREEN) ON THE TABLE
BECAUSE ON THAT VERY TABLE ROSES (are roses) OPENING GRAND
PINK & PALE
poem with 2 titles only
FOOTNOTE SERIES: BLUE
not yet invented
to repeat myself  1
I read a worn journal  2
in which I am  3
to paraphrase  4
a candle at nub  5
  1 nothing constant
2 of which I am not the author
  3 recognizable
4 we leave together & separate
  5 as time extinguishes cobalt
MINIMALIST EPIC: FALLING INTO DISFAVOR, the comma as articulated by your last five relationships
thread-width fun  silence carves chasm
marble eye  eyebrows tied up by diacritics  snow   lots
pillars salt  mouthless objection  no system of breath
boundaries absent  abhorrent to the Greeks
as the reoccurring letter wiped away  slip into  fitful unconsciousness
While Eating Oysters is published by CLWN WR BKS, Brooklyn. Kit Kennedy co-authored Inconvenience (Littoral Press, Berkeley) and Constellations (Co-Lab Press, San Francisco) with Susan Gangel. She lives in San Francisco. http://poetrybites.blogspot.com
