J. D. Nelson

a blared gestalt

I gargle
w pennies

not now
(a face)

this is my nook, Ruth!

my fingers smell like metal

a pocket of wolf—
that old saying

speaking backwards
meelnorp slava wooob

every word is dirt
every word                      dirty

and rectangularish

this is a bounce from space

myriad fangs useless
weapon two

of me in the center
a new impossibility

it’s the warton
of the colonel

in half

ever earthward

silver becomes the channel of the snake

menthol one pesky
moon with fork
spaghetti knievel

watching myself on a screen

orion not

note to self:
               rock in potato fur

to memorize the sea
