ignored and stinking
leaned its way
into less, then less
and loss pared back
thin layers
of what used to be
delicious




Vera Constantineau writes poetry, short fiction and creative non fiction. Her work has appeared in several notable journals and anthologies. Most recently her essay, "Options", was chosen for inclusion in Against Death, an anthology published by Anvil Press of Vancouver, B.C. Vera is a member of Haiku Canada, the Sudbury Writers' Guild and Manitoulin Writers Circle.
