Joanna Walkden Harris & Pete Spence
Perched Cormorant.
24 hours in eternity was enough
no fish jumping in the tepidity
pied cormorant skims for lunch
catching shallows as a choppy
westerly lingers blowing along
looking for a plateau to relax
it's all done with intention on
and in reflection under a ripe
sunset how orange is that
perched over the plateau
mirroring itself in the lax waters
the wings held out to dry
