Patrick Sweeney

Four one-line poems elbows estranged on the same side of the booth
only to get to the end of the falling leaf
somehow I'd forgotten Emmett Kelly swept the spotlight under the rug
no matter what I say she can't accept a masterpiece done with a turkey baster
Patrick Sweeney is a long-in-the-tooth writer of the insignificant, and a devoted student of birds and cloud formations.

These are great poems, Patrick.
Thanks for sharing them.
I ended with a smile on my face whereas before I was pensive inside some of them.
Thank you again.
