Handbell
After Björk – Who Is It (Video) [Bell Choir Version]
One Little Indian, 2004, https://youtu.be/UrSUfud_FsY
The tinkling
of handbells, that
tintinnabulation of
metal on metal, is
some medieval
dictionary def
-inition of the
word ‘ethereal’. This
bell choir’s performance is the
ideal accompaniment to the melodious
vocals of Björk as well as the vocal contributions
of beatboxer Rozell M. Brown & throat-singer
Tanya Tagaq. Whenever I hear Björk sing
about the pleasure and pain of life in
this remix, I feel those bells are
tinkling for every birth,
marriage and death
in our dying
world
.
