Tom Beckett and Thomas Fink

Two-Step

Attentive
squid ink
clouds a brink.
Penmanship
slips into
density. Site plans
siphoning lewd diary entries
for
earnest inveiglers

plot viscous parallels.
Numberless carolers are blocked
warblers gargling pious strain. Far
from
squid karaoke,
far from octopus

appropriation, most tentacles assess
brute Braille lumps as opportunities
for sexual peeling. I spell trouble.

Analytic
pressure, sick
truths disgruntle epicurean
apostles. Lust spells double
vision, double fission. Professor, what's
frisson? A lesson entre nous: if

freezing, sing loudly of fealty, mealy mouth
anachronisms
staunching stand-
up anarchies. But
motor boats renew your
establishing shot. Drink carefully cherry
picker, as few can know the
blue empirical tsunami without harm. Why not take down
ghostlier

dictations than
HBO offers, dude?
Bombastic shorthand offloads 'tude
into our prevailing actuality: a
silt clogged simulcast. North American obese
oblige. Burgers buggering bad friars. Is tofu

ideological
cheese? Smiling
for tautological windows,

the chess piece wars
maintain our sung Freud. Cheesy
toad voices toll for pawns’ sprawling
suburban
intensities. I
spy something: a

blurb’s lugubrious luau. Your
lungs leak milk. Or poi?
Begin
again: lugging
arterial id ink
to a surgical sink.
Sunburned
intestines suborning
intentions to speed.

Tom Beckett once interviewed Thomas Fink at e-values. Or was it the other way round? Anyway, they were in it together. & here they are once more, together again for the very first time.

Both of them have new books out. Tom Beckett's Unprotected Texts: Selected Poems 1978-2006 from Meritage Press, & Thomas Fink has the e-chap Staccato Landmark from Beard of Bees Press & No Appointment Necessary from Moria.
