Visiting Hours for Piranesi
Deep within the belly of sound
reverberations fancifully try to escape
                               the imaginary prison
Ink dries slowly on the surface of skin
paper thoughts shredded from a paper mind
litho stones smash gracefully upon the paper floor
Julian Jason Haladyn is an interdisciplinary writer and artist. His poems and short stories have appeared in a number of publication, including Jones Av, Laika Poetry Review, elimae, ´a·pos·tro·phe, identity theory, and Paradigm, as well as a collection titled Grubstreet 2001-2002: Standing Room Only (Huron Literary Society, 2002). He also publishes collaborative critical articles and reviews with Miriam Jordan in Parachute, C Magazine, On Site Review, and in several upcoming essay collections. He is also a practicing artist who has exhibited his work internationally.
