Hank Williams hasn’t answered yet
But I hear him coughing all night long

some pruntifora on lines by Robert Kelly

a red negotiation across the better part
red in the sense that the flags from the blood burn barricaded: a
negotiation where words & idiots flit
across shadows like solid things;
the shadows pulsate & the mind ceases to be
better than its sharp strapped circumstantial flux.... &,
part of this depends on shock (vegetative

the dusty corners of no man’s house
dusty phrases uncertain in their lurked pigeon holes
corners so unfounded, space collapses around them, whispering
of all the postmodern con games;
no not that kind of laffs: only a generic
man’s breakdown. . they were real people! in a ramshackle
house ... where eyes read other eyes

^^^^^^

some nights the moon straight overhead is not far...
nights with screams in the distance: vague decor;
the slapped brutal slang rack gets guarded w. acids;
moon rays shiver the words you were gonna use, & they plummet
straight into that noise vortex like plastic toy soldiers;
“overhead” is so far away that it loops around and
is “underfoot;” near, near and near;
not a single articulation escapes this crying;
far away is the idea of nearness which has melted

and that was our sweet encounter, our suicide supper, concluded;
that was the way they constructed noise with planks from wordlessness;
was i abandoned inside the loud dream or the sold ruin...
our crass no met dumb glass shattered: the home so constructed,
sweet in desrtion like digital statistics, was the place where i cd.
encounter dark blue fantasy realities, huge leaves covering
our broken-down verbs with singsong shadows; and so
suicide acrobatics were still an option (i even had a handbook!);
supper got cold while i looked for you; colored ink dried grey; etc
concluded: this far from the breaking, the glass has too many edges

Mark Prejsnar writes: "I've been published in about 30 journals (the last 10 or 12 online, like Big Bridge, Moria, muse apprentice guild...)

i've appeared in several anthologies, and have published two chapbooks (Burning Flags, and USA Patriot Acts, both with 3rdness, a small press in Atlanta).

i come from western Mass, and have lived in various places throughout the US and Brazil. i have been here in the south for the last 14 years, with my companion Erika who is a biologist.

Ten years ago, John Lowther and i found the Atlanta Poets Group, which has been a major focus for my work since then. We give frequent performances throughout Georgia and the south , featuring both monophonic and polyphonic poetry, improv poetry, sound poetry, etc.; publish collections of our own work, individual & collaborative, in various formats, (paper, electronic, audio); and edit and publish the hard-copy poetry mag Spaltung, which consists mostly of the work of non-apgistas."
