POET-EDITORS/ 32

Lars Palm

Lars Palm works, writes & translates in Malmö, Sweden. He also runs ungovernable press publishing free pdf-books. Among his short books are don't be quiet, start a riot (with Adam Fieled) (Weekend Press, 2010), fragments from this (Chalk Editions, 2009), cantar de mio corman (Teeny Tiny, 2009) & some hay (Meritage Press Tiny Book Series, 2007). His editing career is just beginning.

What is (or has been) your favorite editing project and why?

My favourite editing project, if I had to pick one, would be the last couple of issues of Serum, a print lit mag in Malmö active between 1999 & 2005. I was part of a really great editorial trio & we published a wide range of wonderful stuff. Oh, & it was also my first venture into editing.

SLUGS ARE BURNING

tripping over a bank window

sluggish forward motion pitures

moving in with this napalm vendor

wait, there's a third end to this specific kind of sausage

put them out, put them out

who said that?

they seem quite content

HEAVEN IS THE DUST BENEATH MY SHOES

swing the door shut
                open the flood
gates to the community
of newly lifted shop
                keepers
                               with
rebooted shoes solelessly
                singing hymns
to dogs & crowded parents
giving their offspring
a truly neoliberal
                education
                               then
swinging the gated
                community open
on generous hours spent
painting the bridges of
vancouver in colours
they may or may not re
