Scott Metz was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, in 1976. From 2003 to 2006, he lived in Tsuyama, Okayama, Japan. ant ant ant ant ant #9 (Chris Gordon, ed., Winter 2009) was devoted entirely to his work and is his first substantial collection, A Sealed Jar of Mustard Seeds. He is currently the editor of Roadrunner, co-editor of MASKS, and the blogmaster of troutswirl for The Haiku Foundation. His haiku can be found at lakes & now wolves. He currently lives in Toledo, Oregon, where he teaches Writing and Literature.
