Five Poems

He
is selling the
cemetery, what abt. the dead I say,

‘do you want to marry’/ families, it’s DNA,
                            I
                                                            suppose,

I tell him we can adopt the dead, set up
an agency, don’t sell the cemetery plot

We can collect stray souls
& give them a place
to

                              rest.

Isla Margarita, 2008
