Sam Langer
POEM
in youth slid dragons     into kilns
where was the heathen, copying across the fence?
each line is an independent little schoolboy
‘smoking’ all the way to the platform
my childhoot hid bridish atmosphere
the skater chocked on glass at large
apple vendors ply the curly line
between 2 kopecks in my hand, the lens
satan
Apex
& surrender to it
POEM
Our youth, of bricks, what were
you thinking Ben Jonson?
we love you anyway, cordial
off a red plate on the bricks
on the wall the child’s knee opens
an adult he pats animals back
POEM
