Approaches, Surfaces

1

eye crustose
end occluded
the oil softened edges
the light flickering to fade

man   man   bench   girl
things are doing is things

things

2

the sign was curlicue
and you must suffer for it
as the bearer must
as the turn must in the sign’s interior:

a line that realizes itself is history’s nightmare
and thus it is, when two are a proximity,
there’s a light that leaps between

3

dust,
then nearing the bend we saw
a town   a sun   a massacre
nestled like truffles in the ground
till the birds came
and the air was strong with carrion

4

the sky, when it darkens, is lit by paper lamps
that splutter quietly in the night
and the self-same ground
fails me when it trembles

that death is never come to me
that death is never come
that death is never come to me

who ever
never sleeps
who only is
(feast of shadow feast of light)
paper paper paper

5

Gone sucker!
Run till you throw up!
Learn to suck!
Learn to love you better!
I’ll walk your back black!
I’ll walk the world wide!
I’ll eat your face!
I’ll never let you down!

A CANDY MELTED AFTERNOON
(IN THE MUSIC AND THE GRASS)
LURE THEM OUT OF DOORS TO PLAY
LURE THEM THEY THE CHILDREN

I WISH I WAS A CHILDREN LURED
I WISH I WAS A CHILDREN
I WISH I WAS A CHILDREN LURED
LURE ME THEY THE CHILDREN

A CANDY MELTED AFTERNOON
ANTS THAT WOULD BE CHILDREN
CROWDING ROUND THE CANDY SHOP
DROOLING OVER WHAT IT’S GOT
NEVER MINDING THAT IT’S HOT
PAWS INSIDE THE CANDY POT
AND THE MORNING AND THE DAY
WILL NOT BE ANOTHER WAY

I WISH I WAS A CHILDREN LURED
I WISH I WAS A CHILDREN
(A CHILDREN LURED ME FAR AWAY)
LURE ME THEY THE CHILDREN

Approaches Through Turbulence

1

Draw the silk out
A thread for the fall
Down goings down down down
Nothings know where
Always to always the nothings but leavings
Out from inside
Somethings of somethings

Draw a thread silver into no light

But, where does the wind?

2

Lichen likes the iris → seared was the eye

There’s a fire in all growing things
        Where the gears mesh
And a light that flickers into focus
                        Weeping, black
And a white that follows after
                                        Red, between

Hearts Core, Errata Vector:

1

Where the gears mesh
Where the teeth meet
And the fire’s torque
Is a grind
Is a slow
Is a rhythmic
Intimate hell:
Too close to lash
Too tight to lick
Too dry to drink

Sleep deep
Speak low

FAST IN THE SLOW IN THE FAST

Where the gears greet and the teeth touch
And a flames torque rushes metal rhythmic
And desire is the lash that greets the morning
No time for sleep
Sun underground

2

Blindness beyond my bear:
Dancing on one leg the one armed shear
Full circle caribou
Galloping and the never end

(The fault lines sunder till light leaps and avenues beginning glow)

And death is never come to the sleepless
And waking is another sleep

Does the wind carousel?

Sun underground
