INFORMATION

In the country shaped like a bear the map is always undefined. Near its mouth the River Dog disrupts the marshlands and allows no boat to enter. The men who sing along the coast at night have nothing else to do. They have visited the woman far too many times to listen to her predictions. Near where the bear’s tail wiggles the lumbermen are starting to arrive. They have a purpose that has nothing to do with the forest.

INFORMATION

Because the room. Or because there is not enough distance in the room. The owl described as if it was a bear. The woman described as if her head was still growing. The machine she brought with her was unable to be started. The dog thought it was an animal but it was not.

INFORMATION

Starts eating before the others. The bears were delicious, but the flowers were less than perfect.

INFORMATION

On a small street a florist may double for a butcher, and a bank for a hardware store. Sometimes they raise the moon before the sun can be detached. The men that have been painted on the wall will cast no shadows until they are removed.

INFORMATION

She was too blonde to be kept inside. The house was one of many houses that all looked the same. The way they were arranged had no significance.

INFORMATION

French fires filling the dead horses in the snow. The Spanish man’s manners kept him from sighing. The stars on the sky chart were only German for a while.

INFORMATION

Counts the minutes the story takes, the minutes the stew takes, the minutes it takes to adjust to the cold, that it takes to climb the ladder, that it takes to complete the woman.

INFORMATION

Uses the commas cautiously. Each time the train stops it starts again.

INFORMATION

Does not use the door because it only leads to another door. Does not use the window because it is still the wrong size.

INFORMATION

The room larger than is acceptable and full of breezes that cannot be hidden. There are two women who are different women and who have no connection with each other. The sky has replaced the ceiling near the corner. There are no windows visible, and no doors, except perhaps where we are standing. One of us speaks and the women begin to move away. They leave a trail of crumbs that we are expected to follow.

INFORMATION

There were not enough words to create the bees. Not enough words to make the sky blue or the apple red or the bear green.

INFORMATION

Put doors on the birds and doors on the trees and doors on the clouds and doors on their feet. Put doors on the rain and doors on the ocean and doors where the stars didn’t go. Put doors on the fire each time it arrived and doors on the doors that were closed.

INFORMATION

They listen to what she says, but do not do what she tells them to. The sandwich began this way, and so did the car filled with cows.

INFORMATION

Every toaster should be shaped like Gertrude Stein.
