Kit Kennedy
FILAMENT & FRAGMENT #7: Rain
seeps into
the dream, all
the pebbles
wet
for this
for that
she wept
or didn't
FACT MASQERADING AS POEM # 311
an open hand

stories
HOW MANY REFLECTIONS ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR?
each turn
glint of sun   facet glass   wrinkled cellophane
landscape of shell   tentacle   texture
connects language   forestalls precipice
well, almost
how much life in that ¾ burned candle
how many shadows fit the sleeve of your arm
EXCUSE THE INTRUSION
at every angle a stranger
observes   a piece of you
smile   hair   wrist   breast   calf
parts echo whole
pull together fragments
into promise
thus wanting
is named
in tonight’s stew
of language   voice is story   invitation
spill of moon/first kiss   desire’s thumbprint
Stranger, I anticipate how magnificent
& fragrant   the meal with you
