Branko Gulin writes:
"This concept, that I've been working on since the early 1980's, is dedicated to Woman as the re-creator of life and to Woman as a being and bearer of the emotional memory of mankind. The prehistoric rituals that had celebrated Woman as the Mother Earth and adored Her as deity have been forgotten and replaced by patriarchal idols. 'Rationality', as opposed to emotions, has become the main driving force in the development of modern 'civilization.' That shift is the main cause of the crisis of our 'civilization.'

"I bring back Woman into the focus and I bring back the memory of a period when humans were aware of their correlation with nature. The expressive figurines (idols) of women are made of wood, glass, stone, aluminium or bronze, and I link them directly with the prehistoric ritual of 'Mother Earth.' Also, in the performance piece 'The Ritual of Mother Earth and Fertility' I re-interpret all aspects of this story."
