it was a day of distractions

living in clouds between collages & poetry

asleep in the forest

reading of Eleanor of Aquitaine

a blue pen lost & then found

as if the goddess—part ocean part marsh—

who lived on the island could impart wisdom or perhaps cohesion

crosses & hearts & amethyst stones

the light through mountains

nevertheless
