Open Waters

The light is green, fractaled
And begins to vanish.
Some other ocean opens
In the airwaves.
Our fixations ease
And the thousand occupations
Let down like a wind-tossed tree.
Everything we believe
Is our possession forms
But a tiny coracle
On the summer water.
Below us, the depths
Are alternately gray and luminous.
The calm glass consumes
Our bodies.
