attenborough
when not yourself you
glitch around the house
               a rattle copied
               in discretely
               hepped up signals
your throat clears
for a darkened syllable
in the 'surprising intelligence'
of the lowland silverback
               as in the body
               an absence of music
        holds out for what
        could sweeten
the wonky natural 2
-step of the animal
human heart
