Alex McKeown
Gift Horses
The mouth
is not
the problem. Lips
do not reflect. Teeth
hide only phlegm.
But a blank stare
opens lines
of questions
better left.
Never look
a horse in the eye.
Fragment,
you're too big
additions will skin you
I eye your potentials
I'll kill them
and a poem will live
