Terra Incognita, a sequence of four collages,
is part of an ongoing graphic sequence created during
the Corvid-19 virus pandemic of 2020.
Approximately 4.25” x 6.25”;
Strathmore 80 lb. paper, miscellaneous ephemera, vintage images, maps,
handmade Chinese, Japanese, Tibetan, and Indian papers,
marbled end papers and found text.




Marilyn Stablein is a poet, writer and mixed media artist who works in collage, assemblage, photography, artist books, and performance art. Her artwork appears in journals, books, online and in private and public collections. Recent books include: a monograph Bind, Alter, Fold: 38 Artist Books; Houseboat on the Ganges & A Room in Kathmandu: Letters from India & Nepal 1966-1972 and Milepost 27: Poems, selected Southwest Book of the Year 2019 in the U.S.
