Michael Gould is a Canadian New Zealand writer whose mainstream poetry has appeared in publications, both popular and academic, in Aotearoa New Zealand, Australia and the UK. In the seventies he made typewriter poetry and vispo (as above), the latter which he continues to produce. He is also the author of Surrealism and the Cinema: Open-eyed Screening (1976), one of the first books in English on that topic. He lives in Wellington (NZ).
