A multidisciplinary artist, Marilyn Stablein works in poetry, prose, collage, assemblage, photography, artist books, performance art and installation to explore visual narrative, memoir, multicultural arts and the environment. Her work is exhibited widely and appears in journals, books, special collection libraries and in private and public collections.

Her latest book, The Rat Tavern, is a handcrafted limited edition artist book illustrated by master linocut artist Dmitry Sayenko and published by his Nikodim Press.
