Robert Burton
Four Poems
Weather
Forges
Regress to
Earlier forms
Gap gap
Of
Wasted
Earth
Forgets
Clouds are heavy
And fall
Empty
Watching us
Develop again
Not the same
You can doubt
Another shot
At rain
     ф
Truth bed
Sunset floor
Forgets rain
The sand there
Pillow
Reanimator
You ride
Sunsets
Reloaded walk
Again in letters
You own
Word glow
Without weight
You wake
Upward
Bringing back love
Letter shine
A message
About letting go
     ф
Sea of ill green
Heat of the water bottle
Bringing it back
White
Blank forget of
Perished rubber
No vulcan
No tequila
Has drunk again
Linen gods and
Their names
Cool down
Winter or another season
Where birds fly
No forge
     ф
I want to rediscover
My base element
Can you curl
Beneath the ground
Wrap around a root
In your shape
Day grows
Urn with your name on it
Just below rhizomes
Soars discovery
Mystery
Flame
You want
To be unrecognizable
Feeling change
Star
Stone the prettiest
Flower is fossil or
Ice
Congeals on your skin
Colour never melting
Animal and mineral break
Categories
Narratives of
Transient and the never ending
Grey waves break
Like day you are there
Any thing
Anything
I want to be
Just carbon
