Keith Nunes
Divergent Disorder, 1 - 4
Stop-Start
He started and he stopped
Started and stopped
He started knowing he would stop
So he stopped starting
Then he started wanting to start again
Starting with the lesson of how to stop stopping
Once he had the sense of stop-starting, of stopping altogether
He started again
Starting out
Making a start without a stop
Keith Nunes (Aotearoa/New Zealand) was nominated for Best Small Fictions 2019, the Pushcart Prize and has won the Flash Frontier Short Fiction Award. He’s had poetry, haiku, short fiction, asemic writing and visuals published around the globe.
