Marcia Arrieta
on the way back to reality
mountains
like
castles
of
ancient
cities
cities
of
cloud
forest
stars
the duality
of the incandescent
& white socks washed
do not number the pages
where doesn’t matter
unbroken
the road continues
connected to geometry
blue wooden horses doors gates
transatlantic rooms residencies—
agave rooftops la calle del reloj
cobwebs leaves stones
I burrow
dust rag broom pincushion
I flee
helicopter over the canyon
sequestered. the leaves in wind in rain.
silent. the echoes like old letters. windows.
radiant. the islands. the camellias in bloom.
painless. rooftops resemble canvases. wounds.
think. somewhere the sea absolves the shadows.
walk. unseen the stars materialize.
draw a timeline or arrow
wings crevices rocks
habitat loss
an interest in verbs:
observe
existed
allows
murmurs
replies
sit by an existential tree
the garden labyrinth.
the bee. poetry books. a sip of coffee.
so many worlds. seams. eaves.
