                                                  I’m on the back side of eighty
                                                  (Pictures of our youth in the albums)
                                                  (Young, w/her long auburn hair)
                                                  She’s now on the back side of seventy
                                                  We’re still fighting to stay ahead of the
                                                  financial curve
                                                  which hasn’t caught up with us yet
                                                  Now the hair is cut short and is champagne 
                                                  blonde 
                                                  
                                                  She worries too much about my health
                                                  Love her as much now as ever
                                                  Much in common?
                                                  Literally probably thousands of things
                                                  Gentlemen and ladies,
                                                  the original, the unique, on this stage

Joseph Buehler has published over 120 poems in the US, the Uk, Canada, Ireland, and soon in the Netherlands, in Expanded Field. He and his wife moved to Georgia in 2005 from Florida and, before that, from Ohio.
